I remember what happened last time Oil was over $100 a gallon.
Gas prices were so high people couldn't afford to go anywhere.
Tourism suffered. People stopped buying cars. Higher cost of raw materials and transport led to higher consumer prices. Hit everyone hard.

Its time for an energy policy that will protect us from these wild swings and instability, speculators, greed and so on.

Or else get ready for a double dip and mitt romney in the whitehouse in 2 years.
