If and when Wis holds a Walker recall election, you gotta know
that the entire M$M, billions of Citizens Untied (that was deliberate), CofC & general Koch money will come pouring in to defend Walker. It would be better to nave no recall attempt than to have one and fail.

I think it can be done, but we must have a strategy that allows an end-run around all the big money. The best way to do this is to find a well-known, popular candidate and capitalize on the pre-existing fame of that person. My initial thought was that Feingold meets all those criteria--and I still don't think that's abad idea. But we need a stir; we need to get the media to pay attention in spite of themselves.

One way to do this would be to have a very friendly, mutual-admiration-society type primary that matches Feingold against Charles Woodson.

Woodson & future First Lady?

Here's the kind of guy he is:

On November 26, 2009, Woodson contributed $2 million to the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital for pediatric research.
Charles Woodson has his own charitable foundation to support breast cancer known as "Charles Woodson Foundation".

Packers cornerback Charles Woodson has placed himself squarely in the corner of the protesters.

“It is an honor for me to play for the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers and be a part of the Green Bay and Wisconsin communities,” Woodson said. “I am also honored as a member of the NFL Players Association to stand together with working families of Wisconsin and organized labor in their fight against this attempt to hurt them by targeting unions.”

This leaves us with only one problem:

Trying to figure out how to get either Feingold or Woodson to run.

1. Think how boring this all would be ...
... if the Wisconsin voters had bothered to show up at the polls and prevent Walker from winning.

2. Do you know how %^%$#@ sick I'm getting of hearing that?
Personally, I voted, I phone banked. I did a few other things.

There were reasons that election went the way it did. It's hard to win when you have billions in out-of-state money pouring in & overwhelming you. I know it looks like the R spending wasn't that much more than the Dem outlays, but those numbers don't include the huge influx of money directly into ads, bypassing both parties. And guess whom those ads supported, and guess who they trashed. The attack agaionst Wisconsin began immediately after Nov 2008, and they won the first round. This is round 2.

4. +1 -- there is small but persistent faction that always
Wants accuse people of not voting, not doing anything, etc.
And it goes back a long way.

5. I'm not tired of saying it.
A lot of energy and money is being spent because of the laziness that led to Walker's election.

3. Those evil forces were at work during the election and look what it got them.
Hopefully, the citizens of Wisconsin learned a valuable lesson and will think twice before swallowing what the M$M, Citizens Untied, & Koch brothers are trying to sell them. My fingers are crossed that this is the case.
