10. Followed by
A shake of the finger and the words, naughty, naughty!

Seriously, at this point Gaddafi is toast. The only thing he's concerned about is looting as much money as he can and finding a safe place to hole up.

5. Gadaffi is vile. Even by the standards of vile people.
I hope this is the end for him. But it won't bring some brave and innocent people back.

6. by "this behavior", did HRC mean Qadaffi's brutal repression of the protests
or the protests themselves?

Is there ANY good reason for HRC to use weasel words about Libya at all?

Shouldn't we be explicitly glad that Qadaffi's probably going to be overthrown?

It's not like we HAVE to be neutral on THAT one, for Gawwwwd's sake....

11. Her using "behavior" to describe the butchery that is taking place is worse
that saying nothing at all. It is morally repugnant. The Admin seems to be as tone deaf regarding events in Libya as they were in Egypt.

21. Ms. Clinton started as my #9 (last) Democratic choice,
I trusted POTUS Obama.

Colonel Qadaffi has been more a cooperator to the USA and EU since the "War on Terror" was declared post 9-11.

I voted for POTUS Obama because I did not want HRC in government.

Tha USA has been supporting anti-democratic regimes and they are falling like dominos for good cause.

The WH is on a political tight-rope.

I agree that the violence should be stopped immediately.

SOS Clinton has been slow on Libya as has POTUS Obama, probably because the Libyan status quo was comfortable for the USA and NATO.

Now is time to make lemonade out of lemons.

22. Arab League will convene and
the British rep just urged the UN to convene the Security Council on this, otherwise the UN is a joke.

Essentially he said the no-fly zone worked as a strategy in Bosnia and he thought that would be a start.

He seemed to think that the UN could mobilize quickly enough to make a difference in events unfolding quickly in Lybia right now. I don't think they can, but some movement by the UN for the record may be all they can do, even if it is too little, too late.

Ironic if it is the Arab League that gets something done, no?

A few more defections from the regime by their diplomats are reported, the flying to Malta by two Lybian military makes it an international issue now, per the current official being interviewed. The relationship between Italy and Lybia is apparently a sticking point, as Ghaddafi apparently is a bud with Berlusconi and there is a recent treaty of cooperation.

Lybian refugee camps are being hastily set up in.....wait for it....Tunisia. Egyptian pizzas to Madison, Tunisians building refugee camps for beleaguered Lybians, harsh words from Foggy Bottom.

Tuning back into AJE

More later
