I was watching our local evening news and Sen. Carl Levin (D) was interviewed
He said that the tax breaks for the wealthy should be put back on the table.

I tried going to the Wood TV8 website to get a link but they didn't have one on their webpage.

But he said it.... I agree with him ... and it should become front and center in further discussions on cutting our budget.

:toast: to Senator Levin... I am proud to say he represents me.

1. I'm glad to hear that & I want more, if not all, Democrats pushing this hard.
It's the right thing to do. And stop the wars & bring the military back home.

4. Maybe partly a reaction to MI's request of Detroit Public Schools?
Consolidate services, close 1/2 of the schools, and increase some high school classes up to 60 (!) students.

Not that it shouldn't be put back on the table anyway. Never should've extended these tax loans!

6. I certainly wouldn't want to be the one in charge
of the DPS system. Yet someone has to step up and get things straightened out. Yet, maybe we are just watching the fall of an empire. I wonder if the education system started failing in the Roman empire prior to it's demise.
