http://ozarksfirst.com/fulltext?nxd_id=412296(Jefferson City, MO) -- Protests and rallies are breaking out across the country, and in Missouri, to stand in unity with state workers in Wisconsin who for more than a week have been protesting a bill in their state that would drastically reduce their collective bargaining rights.
In Jefferson City, the situation prompted opposing rallies.
On the river side of the State Capitol, a protest promoted by the liberal activism group Moveon.org attracted several hundred Missourians.
Aside from supporting their peers in Wisconsin, protesters also denounced several initiatives before the Republican-controlled Missouri legislature, including the controversial "right-to-work" bill that would prohibit compulsory union membership.
