Will it come to Walker sending in the National Guard to clear out the capitol? |
|
If so...has anybody heard about how Wisconsin Guardspeople feel about this situation?

6. Obama could federalize the Guard and prevent that from happening. |
|
Though I doubt Obama would do it.

12. If that happens, Obama will face his biggest test. And if he fails, |
|
it will be up to us. If he comes through, the people will not be evicted.
After all, it is the peoples' house, and the cleaning could be done section by section. It would not be that difficult to clean the place without removing the demonstrators.

7. Just like the regular military, the Guard........... |
|
has a responsibility to disobey ILLEGAL orders.
At this point I actually expect the Guard to be bypassed (or refuse illegal orders) and Mubarek to "deputize" the modern day "Pinkertons" (Xe?) to do his dirty work. If this DOES happen, the shit WILL hit the fan.

10. It doesn't appear that any peace keeping agency is on Walkers side. |
|
I highly doubt the National Guard would be any different.
Either way, I'd be willing to bet that Obama would nationalize the guard in a heart beat.
Walker cannot win.

11. At this point he is checkmated. |
|
If he sends in the National Guard it will be splashed all over the internet, then news around the world and unavoidably news media here, and, it will not result in a quorum. Politically he has everything to lose and nothing to gain from using military force. If he doesn't send in the National Guard his bill will die on the vine with the people having held their ground.
The protesters only need to stand their ground and defend against any right-wing saboteur infiltrators.
Well, my opinion anyway.

somebody on behalf of Walker will tally up the extra expense of security, utilities, etc. that the protest is costing, and at that time, it would be a good idea to move the protest outside to take away that issue.

14. We are currently at a flash point... |
|
And bringing in a force to attempt to remove the protesters would likely end violently and would only make Walker look worse.
The only real option the Republicans have is to compromise. And, as we are seeing, it appears as though a few of the thugs may have realized the dangerous position they are in.

Do that: make a $$ tally, and they'd pull the bill. If they were smart. But they're not.

17. You would not believe how many television reporters |

and crews are in there right now. As stupid as Walker is, I don't think he wants a tape of union protesters being dragged off by force from the Capitol being shown around the world.
