This is a great turnout for a cold day in Nebraska. About 300 people, I'd guess. The Tea Party counterprotest was only about 1/4 as big!

My stepdaughter took these photos.

















My friend Ellen from the Omaha MoveOn group took a turn at the podium(so did I).



We walked past the Tea Partiers on the way back to my truck. One guy didn't seem too happy to see us.

I lived across the street from the Capitol for a year while I was going to graduate school, but I don't even remember that Lincoln statue.
