Fox News Roger Ailes indictment possibly as soon as Monday

On Sunday morning, the economics analyst and TV commentator Barry Ritholtz dropped a bombshell on his blog: Roger Ailes, the powerful president of Fox News, will be indicted in connection with allegedly telling a News Corp. executive (Judith Miller) to lie to federal investigators.

13. It depends upon whether the prosecutor will convene a grand jury to hear the facts.

The grand jury votes to indict if there is even one question about the alleged guilt of the accused.

Doesn't mean that Ailes will be convicted or he'll take a plea bargain.

That is a crime, so they definitely could indict him, but I would think there would be a Grand Jury looking into this before taking the step of indicting him.

Look, I want Ailes to go down, and hard, but this smells just like Jason Leopld getting played by the Rove machine. I'm not even pretending to get my hopes up until it happens, and if it does happen, I have a strong suspicion Ailes will skate. A cynic, I am.
