Maybe if the protesters in Wisconsin wore say, garlic around their necks, they'd get more coverage? |
|
It's criminal how the media as a whole has ignored the situation.....

1. The real trouble is that the protest is PEACEFUL. |

M$M wants something at least as violent as Criminal Minds and it would be better if it could be as scary and as existentially unsettling 24.

2. The REAL trouble is that this doesn't fit the desired narrative of |
|
"evil evil blooksucking unions" that they are so desperate to foist on us between now and the "looming shutdown".

8. Obama promised to be there for labor when it's rights were challenged |
|
I'm only doing the "holding him accountable" that he asked US to do.
Why isn't it that you are unreasonably carrying water for him?

It's your right.
But you know, I've never received a moderator message. How is that possible?

6. you seem obsessed with calling our President "Barry". Apparently that was his nickname decades ago. |
|
Freepers use that name to belittle him.
That you seem so compelled to use it on DU seems as if you mean to intentionally disparage him.

4. I think they need a flag that would play more into RW talking points |
|
Something like maybe "Fuck the Taxpayer", then they would get lots of coverage.

19. Hey, why don't they just call the first lady fat |
|
or perhaps one of the protesters could have a sign saying, "What would Mohammad do?" (WWMD) and a picture of the prophet of Islam?
Sane protests don't sell like idiocy. Besides, it might anger the Koch brothers.

15. A serious suggestion would be |
|
more political theater. Burning Walker in effigy, acting out what will happen when unions are lost (Dickensian theater) or marching on Walker's mansion and throwing flowers at the police. I don't know, but there are ways to get more attention.
I am calling Madison now to order Pizza or something for the protesters.

22. Well, -- if we can turn this into a pop culture hit, -- |
|
We would certainly get lotz and lotz of coverage. With a good solid, pop culture hit they (the piranhas) can actually make more money off the emblem then the actual product. (after hiring a good team of patent attorneys) Let's think garlic, -- everybody's doing it !! --- tee shirts, hats, razors, wrist watches, coffee mugs, running shoes, pencils, pens, binders, lunch pails, underwear, --- maybe even garlic stamped condoms! (perhaps garlic isn't such a great idea, -- but you are on the right track!) If they (the piranhas) keep their eye on the ball (profit potential) they just might spread the same message that they have been trying to suppress ---- accidentally.
Just one more morning fantasy, --- better get out of here and take my dog for a hike.
