Sarah Palin gets snippy when O'Reilly tries to press her on aid cutbacks to Alaska's poor

It's hard to say why it happened, but all of a sudden Bill O'Reilly decided last night to stop tossing Sarah Palin the usual softball questions and Hannity Jobs she's become accustomed to during her tenure at Fox News. He asked her to finally get specific instead of bloviating in vague generalities about where and how she's achieve the budget cuts she's calling for.

It made for the entertaining sight of the Mama Grizzly growling growling at the Poppa Bear:

PALIN: Everything -- everything is going to have to change for those who are enrolled in the program now and will be enrolled in the program now. But we do not change the pension benefit --

(CROSS TALK)

O'REILLY: I -- I agree. The people who --

(CROSS TALK)

PALIN: -- of those who are receiving it now and that what's people care --

O'REILLY: -- brought in and the people who need it --

(CROSS TALK)

PALIN: And I really apologize that up here in Alaska we have the four second delay. So it's -- it's not an easy exchange --

(CROSS TALK)

O'REILLY: Ok.

PALIN: -- to try to -- to try to get my point across to you if you interrupt.

1. As much as I dislike her,
I'd praise her if she kicked him squarely in the nuts.

3. I really tried to listen but after 15 seconds of Palin I had to bail.
She is a Fox News Analyst? The women couldn't spell cat if you
spotted her the c and the a and then made a t w/ your hands.

5. She's right about the interruptions.
It's rude, it's annoying to the audience, and it's not enlightening.

Tweety isn't as bad as Billo but he also does it.

Rachel does not and is the best interviewer. No one gets away with BS.

15. I usually watch Tweety every night...
but I have to admit that he does interrupt way too much. Sometimes I find myself telling him to hush out loud.

8. Well, that's simply not a fair test.
The letter t looks like the sign of the cross. A distraction like that would make anyone forget about felines and start thinking about Christ crucified.

7. Woah...easy there Billy, Wasilla Sarah can't be expected to do too many things at the same time.
I'd love to have been there once the camera stopped rolling. Knowing Loofa, he probably had a meltdown and started breaking things.

18. I'm pretty sure it refers to the amount of times it can donate an electron to an
electron deficient molecule in your body... (an oxidant) making it a rather potent antioxidant or free radical scavenger. You sould read this and perhaps I'll include it in my sigline from now on. Make sure you read POTENTIAL in this article, it is not gospel.

20. Thank you for this...
Very interesting reading about PQQ. I'm reading the article from the link you provided, and also
other information that came up on Google. Cool stuff.

I think Bill Maher is right...food is either medicine or poison. So many foods contain healthy
ingredients/vitamins/minerals--and it's great to read about PQQ.

I'm all about eating nutrient-dense foods and figuring out which foods contain loads of essential
vitamins/minerals.

Thanks for the info!

25. Not to interject myself into this convo, but...
Edited on Sat Mar-05-11 10:32 PM by drokhole
...I came across this great analogy in terms of the nutrient density/richness per calorie of foods: speedboat, rowboat, and garbage barge. Basically, it works out like this:

Speedboat - Incredibly nutrient dense foods. Broccoli, blueberries, chicken, eggs, etc... Eat plenty of.

Rowboat - Somewhat nutrient dense foods. Certain grains, red meats, etc... Eat sparingly.

Garbage barge - Absolutely no nutritional value, with nothing but empty calories. Twinkle, candy, sugar, etc... Avoid at all costs.

It may be a bit of oversimplifying, but I liked it, at least. Just thought I'd share!

27. I love it!!
This is great. I'm a very visual person, and I'm currently trying to eat healthy. It's really
a struggle for me. I'm an emotional eater and I do crave bad stuff.

So, visualizing a garbage barge is hilarious, and could be effective.

Seriously--those images reflect how I feel after eating those various foods. Healthy foods give you so much
energy, and Twinkies make you want to lie on the couch for a few days and groan--like you're on a slow-moving,
yucky garbage barge.

I love it! Thanks for sharing. :)

28. Happy to help!
Thought I'd share since it's been so effective for me. Great idea in taking it a step further with relating it to how those foods make you feel! Can't stand that particular bogged down feel when eating like garbage - that's why it helps to think of it that way, like it's garbage.

I admire your effort, and best of luck in the future!

But beyond being factually challenged, having a tendency to blather gibberish, repeating herself endlessly, having a voice that sounds like rodent claws on a chalkboard, and being just plain irritating as hell, I think she does OK......:)

24. Uh, what 4-second delay?
Edited on Sat Mar-05-11 10:19 PM by drokhole
Is it just me, or did it seem like there was absolutely no lag between the dialogue (especially the first few question-and-answers)? And, if there was, it was no where near 4 seconds. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like a load of horseshit, and Palin was using it as an excuse to hide the fact that she was flustered, and because she can't help being a passive-aggressive asshole when challenged in the slightest.

woman who expects equality or anything.
