Passport Ownership by State
Having just returned from a visit to Syria, I have to say the results are sadly obvious:

1. Passport ownership is highest in states that have the most wealthy people, and ones near borders
No big surprises there.

3. Pretty much.
Not everyone has the spare cash lying around to jet off to Syria for a few days.

7. We have passports. My state is more than 30%.
My nephew plays hockey in Canada on occasion.

8. I have a passport
I've used it once, to go to Niagara Falls, and I will probably use it in 2 years when I go to Glacier National Park because you need it to go to the Canada half of the park. I don't ever plan on going anywhere else.

9. Just applied for mine today.
No travel plans, but thought at age 65 who knows? I might want to go somewhere someday. :hi:

11. That's what I'm going to do
I a smidge younger than you but have been tied down until now and couldn't travel. I thought if I got a passport it would give me the incentive to use it. :-)
