Red seems to be the color of solidarity in Wisconsin. If anyone knows better, please post here. And if you are willing, wear colors or pins or anything that shows solidarity!

9. Why?
While this is now going to be more protracted, as long as you continue to keep this non-violent, you have won. Black is a mourning color. Are you mourning for Snottie or his lost political career? If that's the case, it's awfully kind of you. Unnecessary, but nice.

16. Per #wiunion
http://twitter.com/#!/search/%23wiunion%20black

Wisconsin is wearing black tomorrow to symbolize what was done to us tonight-spread the word #wiunion

Wearing black in solidarity with Wisconsin workers. 03-09-2011 will go down in history. #wiunion

Wisconsin is wearing black tomorrow, to show how we feel about what is being done to our state. #wiunion

I didn't start this, just passing it on.

19. If the Wisconsin unions are saying wear black, black I will wear.
I can't wait for my pins to get here. I want no confusion.

11. I'm a unionized nurse in Washington state and will be wearing red
for solidarity. I will not wear black because as weird as this may sound, something good happened tonight. It looks bad, but it isn't. 9 career politicians have lost their political careers (sure it will take between 3 months to a year, but the beginning of the end of their careers was that vote). Anyway, I have to wear hospital scrubs but will wear a red shirt under it. When my union buttons get here, I will be wearing them every single day I work.

12. Mourning Snotties career
I knew teachers were caring people but you are certainly proving it.

You guys haven't lost, not even close. In the end, you will get everything that petulant little governor of yours tried to illegally take away and as a bonus, he will be removed from office and his dreams of the national stage will all go up in smoke. Snottie needs to wear black tomorrow, not you.

10. Whether you even show up depends on who you're working for.
Up to you, of course, but now would be the time to inform people of the value of your work.

13. My union doesn't allow sympathy strikes or strikes of any kind
Odd, really. But I am going to work, I just want to make sure my statement of solidarity is clear to all. I am allowed to wear union pins at work and I've ordered some.
