"Fire the FPF"... where did the right-wing signal come from?
("Fire the FPF" is a military thing; it means to fire your weapon at its fastest sustained rate throughout your free-fire zone because the whites of the bad guys' eyes are visible.)

Anyways, what I'm wondering is where did the signal come from for the right wing to begin the make-or-break stage of its assault on all public goods that it's in now? Was there a "chop down the tall trees" moment in the conservative media that I missed?

7. No, from an organization called ALEC, which Koch Industries belongs to. See my other reply for a
link to a topic about it. This is much bigger than the Koch brothers, much more coordinated.

10. You are correct about the Koch brothers and that's very interesting about ALEC.

2. I've been wondering the same thing
This is a full court press or whatever you want to call it that seeks to change the game in their favor once and for all....it is total annihilation of the Democratic Party they are seeking and Obama doesn't get it....I don't know who gave the signal or for that matter who is driving this bus over the cliff but it is definitely coordinated and well planned. It's frightening and almost makes me a true believer in conspiracy theories....

3. Crazy how the NFL owners voided their CBA at the same time, too.
I guess it's not that hard to get dozens of billionaires on the same page.

4. It surely came, and on an international scale.
When people start doing identical things simultaneously, collusion has likely occurred.

8. Longer than that. But they sure as hell sharpened up their strategy
and were very effective.

12. And now they have unlimited money from anonymous donors
to promote their lies and propaganda. That Rove crossroads ad is making me kind of crazy.

6. The states are copying rightwing corporate-written legislation from this group:

Please read that topic. This is a group that usually stays under the radar.
