The Sixties are Back in fashion! |
|
No, I'm not talking about the protests. I'm talking about flared jeans! They're back! http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=48607&vid=1&pid=804182

3. A pair of those almost killed me one time. My tennis shoe |
|
caught in the other leg and I was about to go down the back 5 steps to take a double armload of empty glass canning jars to the basement. I couldn't get my foot loose so I threw the jars forward and my body off the side of the porch which was around 4 feet high. When I hit, I rolled my body cause I'd read that will help break a fall like that. I didn't get hurt but the next morning, every part of my body hurt from my neck down.

6. I once had them get caught on my bicycle pedal and went flying off my bike. |
|
They should come with warnings ;)

9. I once made an almost fatal fashion decision when I wore cuffed flared pants and |
|
disco spikes. Yup. the spike heel of one shoe caught into the cuff of the pant leg and I went sprawling. I thought it was hilarious. My partner, on the other hand, was not into laughing at life's unexpected misadventures.

12. Someone convinced me to buy a leisure suit back then , I never |
|
could bring myself to wearing it. I finally gave it to the Salvation Army, it is probably still hanging in their thrift store after 35 years.

fashion designers have been trying to sell flared jeans every couple years for that past decade or so. Thankfully no one takes the bait...

Now, THAT would be something to write home about.

Now that you mention it, I'm hearing less Christian music and more sixties, seventies and eighty revivals on the radio.
