Did you know that there are still 11 RBMK-1000 reactors in operation?...

this is the type of reactor that was involved in the Chernobyl disaster. They have since made safety upgrades to these reactors after that incident but it's interesting to know that they are still running. In fact even several of the reactors at Chernobyl that were not damaged continued to operate until 2000.

Just an interesting fact. I don't believe that the current situation in Japan will get as bad as Chernobyl.
