Poll question: Should the USA take part in setting up the "No Fly Zone" in Libya? |
There is a very good chance the Rebels in Libya are days away from being overrun by Pro-Gaddafi Forces without a "No Fly Zone" in place...I think it is safe to say everyone knows Gaddafi is a brutal man who has no regard for killing whoever gets in his way. And I personally think if he does take the country back he would hand out extremely brutal punishments for the people of Benghazi.

1. Do we have good reason to believe that the rebels are better? |
Washington and Franklin were rebels once. So were Gaddafi, Saddam, and Hitler.

I would imagine many are much better than Gaddafi as they would have to be extremely nasty to be worse...But it is possible that elements of the Rebelion could be worse if they had the power. I guess if Gaddafi falls we will find out.

4. I guess a no-fly zone is good as it evens the playing field between between the Gov't forces and the |
rebels, and keeps Gaddhafi from using air power for attacking the people. Its a way to respond to the situation without endorsing one side over the other, or interfering in the political process.
