Poll question: Did you support the Iraq war and do you support the Libyan Air Strikes and NFZ? |

I know it sucks to admit, but I'm sure there've been a couple of us who actually did support the war in Iraq at the time. How many of you don't or do support the Libyan intervention?

I never supported either Iraq war and I was even iffy on Afghanistan. I'm very mixed on Libya. If we were not still in Iraq and Afghanistan my feelings might be different. This is a case where I'd probably support an assassination - take out Gaddafi.

These are violations of national sovereignty.
I supported the ouster of Hussein from Kuwait in 1991, and I supported intervention to run the Taliban out of Afghanistan after 9-11, but wanted us to exit that country as soon as they had fled. Even at the time, I had serious misgivings about going into Afghanistan, but was for it.

6. Did not support Iraq, do support NFZ. The difference to me |
|
is that Libya has the people revolting against a government that was have know to be corrupt and brutal, and I believe that we should support people who are willing to stand up and fight for their freedom.
On the other hand, we made the decision to take out Saddam in Iraq. The people were not with us, and it may or may not have been what they wanted. The point is that they were not willing to revolt at that time.
I support helping freedom fighters, I do not support declaring war because we want a leader out.
