The Death of Partisanship means the Death of American Democracy
A study of American history shows me that we rose to our powerful position, with some measure of greatness, with fierce partisan battles. Look at the politics, the political parties, the verbal battles, the rancor, the anger, the vituperation. That was American politics.

Now, we are told to "play nice". It seems, however, that the Republicans and their mouthpieces are still following the old strategies. Look at Fox, etc. Listen to Rush (not really). That is the old style politics. To me, it seems that only the Democrats are keeping quiet and trying to be bi-partisan. Is this because of the President? Who is responsible? Is it the shadow government or the PTB? I am afraid that this is a symptom of American collapse. It will certainly result in a dilution of Liberal values, imo. What to do?

Bi-partisanship bi-schmartsanship!!!!!! Get back in the trenches and tell it like it is Dems!

3. I just really wonder about Mr. Obama's motives. We have, seemingly, given up
on the Liberal brand. We seem, or at least the top levels of the Democratic party, to have stopped trying to emphasize the difference between them and us. We seem to be trying to make there be NO difference.

2. No, it's the death of civility, and there aren't many Dems responsible
for that.

4. We had it right in the sixties but the people were convinced
that all that peace and love crap was not being strong. We need to return to our values.
