Libyan Revolution Day 35: The Benghazi slaughter continues.
Anti-Gaddafi forces have taken heavy casualties, but the United Nations still refuses to do anything, proving its worthlessness as an international body for peace and the protection of human rights. The President of the United States has been sharply criticized for not intervening in the Libyan struggle, citing his concerns over the budget of the US, and his declaration at a press conference yesterday of, "No blood for oil!" He then promptly chained himself to his own podium, the Secret Service had to call in a the best locksmith in the state to deal with the situation. The President was unharmed in his freeing. The President also unveiled a song at his press conference, written by himself, dealing with the situation in Libya. The song, which was written in only 5 hours, was called a "prompt response" to the situation in Libya. The proceeds from the song will be donated to the widows of the anti-Gaddafi forces, if there are any left after being raped and beaten.

1. If you take up arms in rebellion against the government this is what happens.
Edited on Wed Mar-23-11 09:24 PM by The_Casual_Observer
It was their choice to do this. They must have known about the consequences of doing this. It wass a bold move, bbut they are getting thier asses kicked & they want to be bailed out. Perhaps they should have planned this better or worked out a better plan.
Maybe next time.

2. They did not take arms up against the government.
Edited on Wed Mar-23-11 09:49 PM by tabatha
They had NO arms when they peacefully demonstrated.

Gaddafi shot heavy artillery at UNARMED civilians.

Get your facts straight.

(Thanks for correction.)

That's why this whole thing is unraveling now. Questions are finally being asked. You rebel you pay the price, not me.

5. Just one word.
No explanation of what you think happened. No facts. No nothing. No links. No substantiation. Nada.

And you expect to have credibility?

Did you know that they were so inept at weapons, that some of them injured themselves when they first got hold of them.

8. Then they should have thought twice about getting involved
in this shit. I can't believe that people are cheering this shit on like it was a roman circus. If that group of libyans want change there they ought to either be prepaid to shed some serious blood or get very creative. Waving around AK-47s that they can't shoot and having no plan other than begging for help after you've pissed off the powers that be isn't going to cut it.

9. They were protesting peacefully.
They were protesting peacefully.
They were protesting peacefully.
They were protesting peacefully.

They were hoping for a change in government as what happened in Egypt and Tunisia and may happen in Yemen.

That is all.

They did not expect to be slaughtered.

11. There was a rebellion there, the local military turned on the Government
Edited on Wed Mar-23-11 10:11 PM by The_Casual_Observer
I don't know where you are getting this Gandhi shit from, but you are misinformed. They aren't begging for weapons, they are begging for MORE weapons & leadership. Wake the fuck up already.

I can understand your point of view if you are getting informed by CNN & BBC that have a set narrative about this. They are creating a script that appeals to the simple masses - good vs evil.

14. You aren't listening. You have to listen to the reports carefully.
Edited on Wed Mar-23-11 10:20 PM by The_Casual_Observer
Early on, the thing was provoked by the local military taking over the supply of arms and defying the rules.

Show me one picture of the rebels where they aren't armed to the teeth.

My objection to this mess is precisely because it isn't a non-violent rebellion, but has been sold as one.

15. Did you watch the video I included?
Did you watch any of Mo's reports?

Here is the sequence

a) Citizens protested peacefully

b) Gaddafi shot unarmed citizens using outside mercernaries.

c) In Benghazi, the citizens fought back with homemade petrol bombs, rocks, sticks and bulldozers.

d) They chased out the mercernaries, and took over their weapons and some of the weapon caches that Gaddafi has all over the country. You will see all of this in the video.

There was no local military. Gaddafi would never have allowed there to be one. There was an uprising in the 1990s when over a thousand people were killed. His control was so strict that people were scared to say anything political, let alone form a local military.

WRT to your views, I think it is a case of you extracting from the reports what you want to believe.

7. Please explain about the questions being asked
and what they are finding out.

I have heard nothing - and I read just about everything from a variety of sources about Libya.
