Bloodbath in Syria continues, more dead protestors (warning, graphic video)
Shooting in Deraa as Syria pledges to reassure the people

euronews has received pictures which appear to show more bloodshed, with bodies lying on the ground amid chaotic scenes. The sound of shooting can clearly be heard.

Dozens of people have been killed in the town in 10 days of anti-government protests.

The Baath party has been in power in Syria for nearly 50 years but now faces a rebellion similar to others in the Arab world.

The country’s northern neighbour Turkey has joined the criticism, condemning the violence and urging the government to deliver on promises of reform.

Syria knows we won't dare touch them with Iran backing them.

Fucking bastards.

Sorry folks, no 'humanitarian mission' for you. No easy targets in the cities.

3. No need to. Just install a No Fly Zone from Iraq...
After all, 50,000 troops sleep there on a permanent basis.

Lots of military bases for war planes too.

Carpets of bombs.

4. nah - I think Syria is safe from us...but Turkey is getting nervous we might start shooting
They want to be a part of NATO? Start playing on our side.

Turkey nervously monitors instability in Syria

TEL AVIV (MarketWatch) — Turkey is watching closely the political instability in Syria, which has been rocked by pro-democracy demonstrations against the authoritarian regime of President Bashar al-Assad.

What happens in Syria is important for Turkey since under Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan the nation has turned eastward, making ties to Damascus, Moscow and Tehran central to its diplomatic and economic strategy, analysts say.

“The fear for Ankara is that Syria heads the same way as Libya, i.e. descent into outright civil war,” said Timothy Ash, emerging-markets strategist at Royal Bank of Scotland.

The prospect “of coalition-NATO air strikes on would be a challenge/risk along border” and would create “difficult choices for Turkey itself as a NATO member...

That they would just decide they have stollen enough, that they won't live long enough to spend it all, and just go away on an island somewhere. Good ridddddance....

But no. For an unknown reason, they want to keep on torturing and murdering their own civilians. Go figure.

5. As soon as you can figure out how to move Israel about 1500 miles from Syria
Oh yeah, and you'll need to cut off every Hezbollah fighter in Lebanon from communication with Syria and the outside world. Come up with a way to impose complete blackout on Lebanon, and you should be good to go.

Or maybe you want to think this over some more.
