CIA Operatives On The Ground In Libya ( with link to the news story)
Previous post had no link to this breaking story, I think it is worth a read.

"The CIA has sent small teams of operatives into Libya after the agency's station in the capital was forced to close, and officers assisted in rescuing one of the two crew members of an F-15E Strike Eagle that crashed, an American official and a former U.S. intelligence officer told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

The agency's precise role in Libya is unclear. "
( No shit)

" Intelligence experts said the CIA would have sent officials to make contact with the opposition and assess the strength and needs of the rebel forces battling Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi in the event President Barack Obama decided to arm them."

and
"The former intelligence officer said some CIA officers also had been staging from the agency's station in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates."

Who's the CIA officer, and who's Blackwater? Who's both?

Hint - ascot and expensive sports jacket, not Army issue . . .

3. Not to worry, the humanitarian CIA has a long history of doing good works.
Subverting democracy, assassinations, torture, mass killings, kidnapping, and all the other charitable work that it's earned a reputation for.

6. Guess what the CIA is a Spy Operation. Gathering intelligence
around the world--that is their job. I believe it
is pretty standard for the CIA to move into any
theatre where any action by our coutnry is about to
or is taking place. This is how we learn who is who
what is what and how is how.

They were in Afghanistan long before the first American
Troops arrived. Dressed in Afghani garb.

8. FACTUALLY WRONG, Pres "finding" only required if CIA is doing something that is NOT NORMAL JOB
Edited on Sun Apr-03-11 02:23 PM by Distant Observer

No "Finding" required for intelligence etc. Only when things that are usually illegal -- like toppling gov or assassination -- is a "finding" needed, which then must be provided to the panel of 8 congress men - congressional leaders and Intelligence committee heads.
