Kudos To Turner Classic Movies - Here's Why...
I don't know if you have been watching TCM Essentials for this month, but the guest programmers have been the EMPLOYEES of Turner Classic Movies, not celebrities, not actors, as done before typically, but the employees of the company who serve in various roles. And they get to discuss the movies and their lives and their jobs. Many women, persons of color and an Asian-American have appeared and been given a forum to discuss art. Wonderful to see.

Alexa Forman has picked the great murder mystery Tony Perkins and Stephen Sondheim's "The Last Of Sheila," starting right now.

4. That is the one station I miss from my cable TV days
and it is the only one that has stayed true to its original mission and format.

5. It's even better than it used to be. Great website, continual addition to the library,
and concepts like this.

7. Yes! I've really enjoyed the employee guest programmers & their interviews.
I thought the idea was really cool. I also thought, what a cool place to work.

I'm an accountant and I liked hearing from a woman in their accntng dept who picked "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane".

9. Absolutely a wonderful feature, it is fantastic to hear the thoughts
of the people who work there. So interesting and great choices across the board. I hope they do it yearly or more.

12. TCM is how I escape the chattering news cycles ...
We've been addicted to it for years. I'm enjoying seeing the employees and glad they are being given their day in the sun; and Jean Harlow month has been super. I'd seen Platinum Blonde and Dinner at Eight ... and had never been all that taken with her; but some of the more obscure films have been real revelations and have made me a fan.

13. TCM is my friend too....
A week or so ago I woke up to Bette Davis in "Jezebel". It doesn't get any better than that.

17. TCM doesn't censor directors films if someones says "fuck" or nudity & no commercials!
