7. Does anyone know how this works? |
Is there a vote for recall then another vote for replacement?

8. My understanding is that there is one recall election, but there is also a posibility for a primary |
My understanding is that the person being recalled will face the opposition candidate on the ballot, but if there are multiple people from the same party competing for the seat then a recall primary is held to determine who is on the final ballot.

11. It will be at least 10 weeks |
A lot depends on how fast they can verify the signatures, but I would expect recalls to happen in the summer.

9. I'll go out on a limb here and predict that Kapanke will be out on his ear, |
I think even Koch funds will be too little to save his seat.

12. I don't think that's "out on a limb". |
people in Kapanke's district are suffering and many are on Badgercare (our decent Medicaid program). His vote to cut Badgercare will NOT endear him to the many farmers and unemployed in his district. I hope I'm not eating crow when I say I think he will be easy to beat with a decent challenger.
