VIDEO: Keith Olbermann ‘Mops The Floor’ With Ann Coulter During Cornell Q&A
Edited on Fri Apr-01-11 04:48 PM by Tx4obama

Former Countdown host Keith Olbermann followed his speech at Tuesday’s “An Evening with Keith Olbermann” with a 42-minute Q&A session at Cornelll University’s Bailey Hall. He began the segment with a bit of performance art, publicly desecrating a copy of the Ann Coulter-founded Cornell Review, literally mopping the floor with the paper. However, in a possible sign of peace in our time, he later shook hands with Ephram Smith, the Cornell Review writer whose article got the Swiffer™ treatment.

Edited to add:
KO has three videos up on his website of the full speech and the full Q&A: http://foknewschannel.com/

5. I read a few issues of the Cornell Review.
They could put the smallest ideas into the largest words. Apparently they fit better if you leave the logic out.

9. Some of the highlights that I found interesting...
(This is all paraphrased & not word for word.)

-- Tea party members are sincere, they just don't know they're being used.  Keith is reminded of a cartoon of a mouse with a tea party button & a protest sign saying "Save the fat cats!". It's all about their fears & anger being manipulated by the right.

The people drinking the snake oil don't want to be told that it's snake oil -- they want to believe it works.

-- Managed persona programs are used to fill message boards with comments by people who don't exist.  Each time it's plugged in it creates 100 people on various websites & includes the necessary background such as names, addresses, etc., to go along with them.

When you read comments on a website & you say to yourself, how could this possibly be true, I don't believe that anyone could believe this, I don't believe this person exists -- trust your instincts.  Conservative-generated porn.

-- Working for Current, he won't have to worry about cross-ownership & offending, say, Burma (used as a facetious example).  It's not like Current owns Burma.

-- Working for MSNBC, he was not told what to say.  His master is the American people & the truth.
