GoDaddy Competitor Offering Deal to Move Your Domains from the Elephant Killer CEO. EXPIRES TOMORROW
Edited on Fri Apr-01-11 06:19 PM by onehandle
Anticipating a backlash, GoDaddy competitor NameCheap.com has already swooped in. The company is running a transfer from GoDaddy to Namecheap.com for .com, .net and .org domains for $4.99 with 20% of the proceeds going to SaveTheElephants.com. For its part, GoDaddy has yet to address the issue on its company blog. Reps from the company could not be reached for comment.

Details on transfer deal here. Expires Saturday At Midnight Eastern!

Show your protest by saying BYEBYEGD again and transfer your domains to Namecheap for $4.99 through 11:59pm EST on 4/2/11 (limit 10 per user, valid for all com/net/org domains). Use coupon code BYEBYEGD and let’s help the Elephants together!

5. BUT ...He HAS explained
why he killed elephant and how he WILL do it again!

"Parsons, calling in from Hawaii, explained that the “problem elephant” he killed in Zimbabwe was responsible for trampling crops – crops that villagers apparently completely relied on for food and income. He explained that not only do the villagers no longer have to worry about a pack of elephants ruining their crops once the powerful bull elephant has been killed, but that the elephant remains afford them a good source of protein."

See video of his "explaination" here:

"Parsons seems to grow more defensive as the interview goes on and, well. We’re not so sure how that helps his case. In any case, check out the interview for yourselves, via CNN. Do you buy Parsons’ explanation?"

7. Maybe the elephant needed food too..and the people encroached on HIS territory
but then people are always "more important", aren't they:eyes:

16. He says he volunteers his time to hunt "problem elephant"
as opposed to "endangered elephant" (I'll be damned if I can tell the difference).

Haven't used them for domain hosting though.

23. Ok, then, any suggestions for even if she DOES get through?
She is motivated to switch them all. She was already pissed at GoDaddy, but just hadn't made the move yet.

26. Thank you! Since I've had GD I get so much upsell spam from
them and it won't go into the spam box no matter how many times I've checked it. It's pretty obnoxious and I am not surprised at the character of the man in charge.

27. I finally dug through their many levels of control panels and found the email options.
I was able to eliminate all of their various newsletters (upsells), single offers (more upsells), and third party offers (yet more upsells).

I didn't want to guide their spam into my junk folder, because I was afraid that alerts about my domains would go there too.
