I wish I were as blissfully dumb as these fundy morons...
Oh, how rosy and sweet life would be if I just didn't know logic and thought.
SIGH...
What about you? Ever wish you were dumb so you weren't terrified of what was around the corner?

3. blissful ignorance and religious fundamentalism go hand in hand
and just to make sure they dont develop a brain, it's drummed into their soft little heads every week, just like a good cult would do

4. Being smart, educated and perceptive can put a heavy weight on ones shoulders today. As is
often said, ignorance is bliss. Maybe the willfully stupid aren't as stupid as we think.

8. The thing is they ARE terrified, but just of the fake stuff
They are ruled by and live their lives based on fears of what is never going to happen (Sharia law being the law of the land in the US, God punishing us for The Gay Ones, etc., Obama making us all commies) and not the insane crazy shit the fascists they vote for are doing!

13. Yes, the operatives for the spin have done a masterful job of focusing their
fears on the unreal than the real threat. It is truly masterful how they carry the banners for the plutocracy, never asking why, and enable the fascists taking their country away, and meanwhile they worry about their delusional crap. It's the height of directed propaganda and highly effective.

11. I'm no so sure that they're blissful.
To me they seem to have a lot of fear and hate.

14. At times...
I'm pretty sure that I would have to be taking cymbalta if I weren't able to over analyze the world around me...and I'm pretty sure that I could actually get a good night's sleep without my brain working constantly at warp speed.

But then again, I think I'd rather be intelligent and be able to logically reason out a proper course of action, in all things, knowing that my choice was not made based on what a religious leader says or fear...

15. its seems to me the ones who are blissfully dumb
seem to hate a lot of people, not like them. It must be sad for them, to visit a place like my city and be afraid of every face that walks by, as if their life was in danger.

16. I think a lot of those people's world ends at the tip of their nose...
...and they don't care about anyone around them. I was raised with manners and common courtesy. So, people piss me off quite a lot. And I tend to live in a state of hating the inconsiderate bastards around me, which, as it turns out, is most other people.
