9. It's predicting days of presence of I, Cs, Xe total and below 300 feet from surface.
I'm guessing, but, I think they are using m.a.s.l. as surface, i.e. 100 meters from ground instead of Meters Above Sea Level.

10. I got a dosimeter
It shows I've gotten ten rads in the last two weeks and that is with staying inside as much as possible and using umbrellas, which are, as you know, an affront to northwesterners. Just as the Japanese were and continue to be lied to about the danger, we on the west coast are also being lied to.

11. You couldn't have gotten 10 rads from Fukushima
You may be getting something close to background but not 10 rads. Maybe you mean 10 mrems. That would be possible though I would doubt that you would get that much from Fukushima. It is about a B.E.D. which is 0.1 microSv. This is about 0.01 mrem. This is about what I would expect. If you've gotten 10 mrems that is significant but still not much above background unless it continues for weeks or months (which it might!).

But if you've gotten 10 rads... that means approximately 10 rems which is the dose that an American radiation worker is allowed to receive in one year under emergency conditions. No way did you get 10 rads on your dosimeter. Try 10 mrem... which could be from background sources.

12. I double checked that and you're right
Teach me to post after a long night at work. And I said to my partners that I wish I had one from last year to compare.
