4. I don't know that I can be even more sad at the loss of life...
but somehow these deaths among those trying to save the lives of others-- are particularly poignant. RIP and may there be a "better" realm for you now to find some peace.

9. They died in the quake
They're quake/tsunami victims.

There was another worker, I forget at which plant, who died in a crane at the time of the quake.

14. Maybe that's true

But I have been reading all the TEPCO reports since the 11th, and early on they noted 2 missing:
http://www.tepco.co.jp/en/press/corp-com/release/11031203-e.html

That's from the 12th.

And NISA (Japanese nuclear regulatory agency) has been carrying 2 workers missing since the original quake:
http://www.nisa.meti.go.jp/english/files/en20110403-2-1.pdf

1. Injury due to earthquake on 11 March
- Two employees (slightly, have already gone back working)
- Two subcontract employees (one fracture in both legs, be in hospital)
- Two missing (TEPCO’s employee, missing in the turbine building of Unit
4)

I sure hope that there are not two more workers missing!

15. The article is wrong
See CNN. This is indeed the two workers listed as missing right after the disaster by TEPCO:
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/04/03/japan.nuclear.bodies/index.html

Some closure for their families, I guess, but I'm sure they were still hoping too.

13. They died in the original quake.
It doesn't make it less tragic, but it isn't the way the headline sounds. They didn't die 'cleaning up the mess'; they are 2 of how many quake victims?

10. What's going on with that site?
One can't open it...strange. I wonder if the story has been retracted? Why isn't it on breaking news?
