Are we the Angry Birds?

Okay,I'll admit it. The Angry Birds app game is one of my guilty pleasures. Getting on the ol' iPad in spare moments and trying to knock down the pile o' pigs.

Anyway, being a little strange, it struck me that the Angry Birds could be a metaphor for Duers....And the progressive left.

The pigs have stolen our eggs, and they are sitting in their convoluted structures gloating at us.

But we are determined to get the pigs, and get our eggs back. So we set up our little slingshots, try and take strategic aim, and Fire Away. Fling our carcasses at thecpigs.

Hoping clever aim will knock down the edifices of the pigs....Sometimes we score, sometimes not. And when we do knock them down, they come back with new edifices that are harder to dislodge.....But we keep coming back too trying again.

Will we succeed? I guess my own answer depends on how well or poorly I've done in my last session with the Birds.

the real pigs out are still stealing our money and gloating. They've created a diversion which keeps us from directing our anger toward them and taking it out in this silly game.

Before you criticize me - I too am hooked on Angry Birds. It seems like the only way I'm able to deal with my aggression.
