Group spending $1-million to trash Kloppenburg operates out of drop box
Sat, 04/02/2011 - 7:49pm | xoff

Citizens for a Strong America is spending more than $1-million in the last 8 days of the Supreme Court campaign to trash candidate JoAnne Kloppenburg with false commercials.

Now, the Center for Media and Democracy has found that well-funded group, which has never operated in Wisconsin before, operates out of a UPS drop box in Beaver Dam.

Who's behind it? Where's the money coming from? Will we find out too late -- after the election? Will any news reporters try to get an answer?

Here's the story and here's an earlier post about the commercials.

1. It's the Koch Brothers, duh...
<snip>
So who are the "Citizens for a Strong America," Besides a Well-Funded Postal Box? This mysterious group lists no information about its leaders, employees, or funders on its website, citizensforastrongamerica.net. Its website is basically just a brochure. Its contact information is not the kind typically used by a public interest organization; it is just gmail: citizensforastrongamerica@gmail.com. Its phone number, 608-831-2974, rings to a voicemail box, which is full.

Updated! CSA Linked to Office and Staff of David Koch's "Americans for Prosperity," Tea Party Backers In a review internet filings, the Center has learned that even though Citizens for a Strong America lists no staff on its website, its website name was purchased by John W. Connors of Milwaukee, who has been a leader of "Americans for Prosperity," a right-wing group chaired by oil billionaire David Koch.

Here's the Koch brothers, again trying to manipulate the State of Wisconsin for their personal gain.

Vote Kloppenburg and stop this exploitation.

7. Why can't Dems in Wis put up an ad TODAY stating exactly what Koch's did here?
Is it really too much to ask Dems to attack and expose these creeps every time they pop up?
