should we be tracking NPR problems |
|
just today I noticed two different problems with local NPR stations. One is in Florida - the station was sold and the new owners are leaving NPR. The second is the transmitter burning in Little Rock. Given the repub congressional campaign to defund NPR, are we looking at some broader effort to take down public radio? encourage all to post any notice of local happenings with public radio, and also contribute if you can. Can't imagine losing this vital media outlet given today's toxic climate.

...they were a bunch of corporatist shills who sold out to their underwriters years ago.

This seems like an odd response.

3. NPR is awful these days, but awful does not compare to FOX's incredible awfulness. |

For example, I may not like Obama's right-wing side shining through, but, I'd never be stupid enough to vote for a Republican to replace him.
NPR is bad, but it needs funding, it needs more funding and it also needs a makeover to make it more responsive to the people.

We never entirely agree on anything.
