<snip>
Just in his mid-20s, Brian Deschane has no college degree, very little management experience and two drunken-driving convictions.
Yet he has landed an $81,500-per-year job in Gov. Scott Walker's administration overseeing environmental and regulatory matters and dozens of employees at the Department of Commerce.

Even though Walker says the state is broke and public employees are overpaid, Deschane already has earned a promotion and a 26% pay raise in just two months with the state.

1. I have no college degree, little management experience
and no drunken driving convictions. I have been a Union Steward, so I guess you could say that I have dealt with some people issues. Am I qualified for an $81,500/year job? Nah, my dad was just a regular factory worker who gave little money but plenty of time to DEMOCRATIC candidates. So the moral of the story is; make sure your dad gives money to the repuke and you too can land a nice government job.

2. 81 large for a guy that couldn't even get an interview for my
$32 thousand a year job? It wouldn't matter what else he had going for him, the DUI's would get his application shredded.

It would be interesting to see what happens in Florida if Rick Scott gets his drug testing scam through. They'll have to find some way to protect guys like this kid.

4. Bet he has more than those two DUI's.
Those are the only ones Daddy couldn't fix for him.

9. Yup. I would almost bet on that. Or the yokel sheriff knew to
just get the kid home without writing him up in the first place.

6. Best blog comment yet (JSOnline.com).
Well at least Scott Walker finally has an overpaid public worker that he can point to as an example.

10. This is platinum-level leadership
Two degrees? Overqualified.

Two DWI's? Now there's a GOP with a blithering swagger Dimson could really get behind.
