Just kidding! I watched these little guys last year (she fought off lizards and birds, all kinds of drama). I had not realized there was a new nest. Thanks so much for posting. :hi:

4. This is this bird's second clutch!
She had them back to back. The two from the first clutch still hung around as she finished repairing the old nest from last year for the clutch that is now ready to fledge.

The host put up some crow wire to avoid another crow attack like the one that knocked the baby birds out of the nest last year. They claim that Hope was seen after the attack. I think that's just a guess.

5. Wow! What a rough go these little birds can have!
I forgot that the nest is in a moderate climate so it would be much earlier than where I am. I'll check it out.
