On a completely different and irrelevant note - it was refreshing to see a talking head on TV who still have use of the muscles in their forehead. While some may not want to see wrinkles in the face of a public figure, I have been finding it disturbing to see how many of the people on national TV have paralyzed their facial muscles. Their faces are incapable of really expressing emotion. There are studies which indicate the inability to mirror emotion reduces the ability to feel empathy. So I am very happy to see someone who may still have that ability. Thank you, Dara Brown, for being a real human and not a plastic replica of one!

They were both so happy to be together again. I was thinking about that dog this morning while I was drinking my coffee and rubbing my dog's belly next to me on the couch (as usual); that dog and her owner's day was probably just as typical when the earthquake hit.
