success of 2008, democrats have found their fighting spirit. The fights between Obama opponents and Obama supporters on DU is good news in a way. Progressives may not like Obama, but moderates will come up big for Obama. Moderates support Obama at 10% less than liberals, but moderates have overwhelming numbers, with 77% supporting President Obama, Obama is walking in tall cotton and just has to fend off the fiends from the right through to election day 2012.

Do you care that I will eagerly vote for him? I'm suspect that no, you don't actually care if I do.

I guess, I'm not sure why you feel the need to explain your vote to us.

In the end, when the count the votes, the REASON for each vote does not make that vote more or less valuable than any other vote. They all count the same.

The GOP hopes many on the left will find some reason NOT to vote. Their strategy depends on it. Because that is really the only way they can win and extend the damage that they've done to the middle class over the last 10 years.

Given that, I don't really care why some one checks the Obama box, just so long as they do. I will vote for Obama because I think he has accomplished a great deal given what he is up against. You might vote for him because you see him as a "lessor of evils".

you really don't care why we support him, just as long as we do. You know, I think Obama has the same idea. Fair enough - but a lot of us are reluctant allies at best. We might just be more enthusiastic if many of our ideas and complaints weren't simply and arrogantly discarded out of hand as not necessary and certainly unwanted.

All it will take is a Progressive challenger - in this upcoming election or any future election, for a great many of us to change our votes. Maybe not enough to make a difference, not yet. Given time though... when it is made painfully clear over and over again that so many of our elected dems don't give a damn about what is quite a significant number of their voters... don't be surprised if we decide to go with someone who considers us important.

I'll tell you why I explain my vote. I explain my vote here because I think it needs to be pointed out, over and over again that this isn't the best we can do. That we are not getting what our time, our effort and our hard work have earned. I explain my vote because I hope people will be paying attention and at least give some consideration as to whether the reasons I am upset may possibly be just a little valid. When in return I receive contempt or arrogant dismissal, it is far from encouraging or inspiring.

Ignore us if you wish, you are certainly under no obligation to give a damn.
