That's Darius Rucker, previously from Hootie and the Blowfish. He performed this at the country music awards last nite.

Warning -
it's a tearjerker!

1. That was wonderful
People like Darius Rucker and all those kids make it worth continuing the fight.

Darius just rocks. Thanks so much for the link!

2. I just happened to be watching the awards last nite with my special daughter.
Her whole world is music. She knows the lyrics to every song after hearing it after a couple of times and who sings it.
It's like her area of genius.

I just held her tight and cried my eyes out. It touched me so deeply.

3. Thanks! And, please, remind everyone NOT to use the "R" word! It hurts!
I can't see the video now.. rotten connection. But I bookmarked this to look at it later, and to share with others.

Thank you so much... this is so close to my heart! :yourock: :pals:

7. It was like we are the world only the choir was made up of
dev. disabled kids. They sang their hearts out. And because I have an autistic son who is about to turn 16, I could so see him up there! Of course, he would likely do what he always does when on stage - refuse to sing during and then snatch a mike and sing afterward. It's not him wanting the spotlight, it's him finally getting on board with things - it takes him longer.

8. Mine likes to dance to the music. She would've gone up infront of everyone else and
rocked out :P

There are so many wonderful things about this population, I just wish more of the world understood.
