Lots of People gathered in Madison yesterday for the "Memphis to Madison" rally. I used my new "marching rows and columns" method to estimate 30-50,000 people. An aerial photo would probably help.



As always, there were lots of great signs. Here's a sampling. (Scott Walker greeting the crowd is at the end).

Lena Taylor (one of the Wisconsin 14) was there to support the protesters (and receive a whole lotta love)

Thank you so much for taking the time to post these. I so wanted to go! I am out of personal days, vacation days, etc. I've been to Madison three times, expect I'll go again.
I do hope the planned protest of the fishing opener on May 7th comes off! The locale is Lake Wissota, Chippewa Falls.

We had a rally in St. Paul by our State Capitol yesterday too. There was about 2,500 there, not nearly the size of this crowd, but we gave it our all. We're with you Wisconsin! This whole country will soon be with you.

It should be noted here the great difference between these people and those who show up for Tea Party rallies. Tea Party conservatives can't spell while these guys can. There are no miss-spelled words on any of these signs. Now doesn't this tell us something about the differences between those who support republicans and those who support democrats? It damn well should.
