Fire that shuts down Arkansas NPR station looking like arson.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on Monday joined the inquiry into a fire that knocked a Little Rock public radio station off the air as authorities in Texarkana, Texas, began a separate investigation into transmission line damage that has kept that city’s public radio station from broadcasting for the past week.

Grover Crossland, the resident agent in charge of the ATF’s Little Rock office, said evidence gathered Monday indicates that the fire at KUAR-FM, 89.1, in Little Rock was intentionally set. Samples of a suspected accelerant were being sent to a laboratory for analysis, he said.

“At this point in time, it appears to be an arson,” Crossland said.

3. Shocking (not). I gave $ to the local NPR station this year for the first time ever.
It felt good to stick it to the assholes who want to shut this national treasure down.
