McDonald's jobs: Can it hire 50,000 workers in a day?

McDonald's Corp. is hiring in a big way. On April 19, the fast-food giant hopes to hire 50,000 Americans in a single day.

Those include part-time and full-time crew members as well as managers in locations around the country.

And while flipping burgers may not sound like a big boost to America's job recovery, it's not something to pooh-pooh, either.

"McDonald's average wage is well above the minimum wage, it's in the $8.30 range said Jan Fields on CNN."

3. Worldwide, McDonalds has over 30,000 locations, so
I don't think 50,000 workers is much of a stretch for them.

4. There's only one problem with most of the jobs provided by McDonalds, they don't include benefits.
Only their managers and management trainees get benefits, the others are on their own other than a McDonald lunch provided at half price. A burger and french fries to harden arteries that once clogged, cannot be treated because you have no health care. I guess anything is better than nothing, when nothing is your only alternative, but this is exactly what the Kochs want. People having to take anything just to feed their families and without "costly" benefits that bring down their profit margins. The only thing the Koch brothers wouldn't like about this situation, is the wage, it's far too much for "these" types of people, besides, they are getting half off on a potential artery clogging, stroke causing meal, I think the Kochs would cheer............except for that wage of course.......Maybe just decrease it for "women" who shouldn't be working anyway and leave it at the higher wage for men who need to provide. Yeah, that would be a perfect Republicon/Koch position to take. The Republicon/Koch/Fox Gop/Corporate psychos, sociopaths, narcissists and all around crazies must be stopped.

5. With "Right to work" hire 50,000 April 19 then fire 50,000 April 20 old employees

I wish minimum wage would get a cost of living raise.
