8. #761 ~10:30am, Madison near east side
#276 at mid-morning of the Feb. primary, so almost 3x turnout. Weather's cooperating, too--we're headed for a WIN!

11. I think it's about electing Kloppenburg for WI Supreme Court, which is good.

7. The prediction was for a 20% turnout and if Democratic voters are not pumped up enough
to at least double that number, then we are pretty screwed here in Wisconsin when it comes to the recall elections. Republicans will laugh and claim that Democrats are hot air and noise, but no action.

10. You have got to be kidding!!!
If Madison can't do any better than that, then this bodes ill for the entire state. EVERYONE needs to get out and vote. What could possibly be stopping ANYONE today??? Grrrr.... Don't disappoint us, Madison. It's scary enough over in Milwaukee County where young voters seem to have no idea how important this election is.:eyes:

15. I just keep thinking about those crowds in the square and in the Capitol building who would not go
home. I'm sure they won't let themselves or this country down. The Koch and Walker types cannot win this one, they just can't. Just think about what Kasick is doing to Ohio and what Scott is doing to Florida and think about that spreading to every state. Now, think about your vote stopping them in their tracks. Please vote, you're voting for your futures, you're voting for your lives.

12. We're making the calls now from my home while we continue to post online on different sites to keep
the momentum going for our side. Lets do this everyone, please, our futures are depending on what happens there in Wisconsin. Go Sisters and Brothers in Wisconsin, take back your government so that we can all take back this country. If you can get out in the cold in masses to take a stand against your tyrant Dicktator government, then you can get to the polls and vote in JoAnne Kloppenburg as a line of defense against laws that Dicktator Walker will push through, to kill our Unions. Don't let the Koch brothers win, they have done enough destruction to our country, they own the Republicons, the media and even the United States Supreme Court, but they don't own your VOTE, so get out and VOTE Kloppenburg as soon as you get off from work. Thanks everyone......we've got to make this happen.
Lou

And it is not that late in the day yet. Let's hope most people vote after work.

16. That number is from 11:00, a full nine hours before the polls close
When the expected turnout for the entire day was 20% and they are already at 17% nine hours before the polls close that is a really good sign, normally these types of elections have very low turnout so these numbers are actually pretty encouraging. Most people are still at work, but at the end of the day they will get to the polls and I think we will see some big numbers.

are below average according to the chart, and need to be brought up, so keep calling.

Edited on Tue Apr-05-11 03:13 PM by eowyn_of_rohan
I dont need to be called since I never miss an election. I worry that most people are turned off by it.

That said - if the students and Madison in general don't GOTV I will be MAJORLY Pissed Off

23. It has for me, it's all about how you present yourself once you get someone on the phone, upbeat
and friendly and the ones that answer will usually give you a chance to share what you have to say. I've had a great day calling from down here in Palm Springs. Thank you for your posts.

27. Yes and I have 5 friends helping me and in return, they get to use my house all week and it''s
beautiful here this week too, the pool is heated and the fridge is stocked and I'm leaving for Los Angeles tomorrow and they get to have the house for the rest of the week. They all jumped at the chance and it benefits Democracy as well.
