Have Democrats completely forgotten how politics works? |
|
First you put out the very worst (or best) depending on which side is yours, Bill or situation, you possibly can and then settle for something in the middle which still benefits your side..It seems to me things changed when Bush* took over. He would put out the very worst possible and Democrats would go along readily without so much as a whimper. It has seemed to carry over in the Obama Administration only in the wrong direction.. Right now the very worst Budget Plan one could imagine has been put forth by the Republicans and no matter what, they will win.. Even if Democrats do find something in it to object to, Republicans are still going to get almost everything they really want.. Draconian cuts in Social Programs and increases in Defense Spending and more Tax Cuts...What do Democrats put forth, Cuts in Social Programs and more Defense spending....A good time to be a Republican in america but a bad time for the American family...America is crumbling around our feet while the wealthy get more tax breaks...

4. Yes indeed - Dems are that stupid! |
|
They have done so time and again. I have my strong doubt that Dems will do much to change the debate. After all Dems do have there fall back position: "we are keeping our keg dry for when we need it!". They always beating a retreat from fights.

6. It's not that Democrats are stupid |
|
It is that they tend to intellectualize everything, which is fine when one is building a society, but this is political warfare we are engaged in and Democrats just do not understand that. They just do not operate with a militaristic mindset and that is what wins in these deals.
Unfortunately, Republicans understand a ground war game all too well.

2. They're redefining how politics works so it always works for the people paying both sides |
|
Republicans advance their agenda Democrats fail to stop it
Pretty simple. What to do about it is another story.

7. What makes you think that politics works? |
|
The GOP broke it; and the Dems are too spineless to fix it.

The difference is that they try to hide it better.
