Alaska is typically a strong pro-union state, but we've got our crazies here, too, trying to dismantle collective bargaining, including most notably Anchorage's mayor. Our "We Are One" rally yesterday afternoon was very well attended and drew lots of honks in support. Here are a few photos:

I would guess there were about 400 people there. There were also rallies in Juneau, Fairbanks, Ketchikan, Soldotna and, yes, even Wasilla. :)

9. I had so many pictures from the Iditarod

that it took me quite a while to sort them out. Now I'm editing. I should probably have the galleries up at my website next week sometime, and I will for sure post a link in the Group.

8. And Juneau, arguably the most Liberal city in Alaska has had zero demonstrations.

One would think the Capital City would get more involved. :shrug:

10. Actually, it's been reported that they have had demonstrations,

She broadcasts in Juneau on KXLJ AM (1330) from 11:00 until 2:00 Monday through Friday, as well as here in Anchorage. She's where I get most of my info on upcoming protests and rallies.

I thought we only had the two AM stations and they are both owned by a right wing organization.

which we all think is kind of amusing. I'm not sure if KXLJ is Fox, too, but for three hours at least they ARE fair and balanced. :)
