Thank you to all the baby eagle cam watchers here!
I turned it on at school today and my kids were absolutely mesmerized. We have three computers and ended up putting it up on two of them. Within minutes, the kids started asking questions, we started looking up information about eagles on the third computer and an all day research project was born!

One of my best days as a teacher. It was just full of teachable moments.

If it hadn't been for my seeing this here on DU, I would never have thought of showing this to my students.

Thank you Eagle Watching DUers!!

3. Wonderful
You can see the dinner spread right now .... Muskrat, trout, and crow :9

BTW if you google Decorah Fish Hatchery you can see a map on the left side
of the page ..... if you play with it and look at the eagle cam your students can
learn the name of the road in the background ... Trout Run Rd. and where the nest/tree
is on the map ...... have the students figure out how to drive from the eagle tree to
Decorah High School.

7. My kids were yelling at her today
She'd take the food, mash it up and then give it to her babies. My girls decided that was gross and they were yelling at the computer screen. It was hilarious.

10. I've always thought this Eagle Ustream would be PERFECT for a classroom! WTG, Teach!
As an adult, I find it thrilling to be able to watch all this in REAL TIME. My G-d. How many people can say they've watched nesting Eagles hatch three eggs...up close and personal?

I'm so glad your kids enjoyed it.
