Prosser 137,000 votes, ahead of Kloppenburg by 7,000. My first reaction, of course,
is, Does Wisconsin still use electronic voting machines?

1. No, paper ballots - optical scan.

And it's way too early. Most of Milwaukee Country hasn't reported.

19. no no no not good enough- they scan them and then put the numbers through a central tabulator
the central tabulator can be easily manipulated so unless you count the ballots at the precinct and compare numbers, you will not know if the results are accurate.

In my state, a recount is putting 5% of the ballots through the same flawed process and no one is allowed to hand count the ballots at the precinct. No one is even allowed to know the number readings from the optical scans before they are sent through the central tabulators.

20. Readers' comments from The FDL News Desk that fraudulent
vote counting can be practiced to the very end. Many observers from
both sides should be present at each counting. Most likely there
will be a recount, since the results show a difference of only a
few hundred out of a total number of some 1.5 million votes.

4. This is a pretty good result, right now.
The smaller rural areas are reporting first and it is neck and neck. There is basically all of the Madison area to come in and a lot of Milwaukee.

17. Kloppenberg has already won
There is still half from Milwaukee and Dane county to be counted and she is winning there big time. Pretty sure Prosser isn't gonna be able to make up the difference.
