Money trumps democracy once again |
|
Also we vote by mail in Oregon, and now Washington state too. The entire country should do the same.

1. Vote By Mail is actually one of the most insecure voting systems going... |
|
...and Oregon prepared for it for 15 years by getting their election code and practices cleaned up and in line. To suddenly adopt VBM in states where machine politics are in charge or other integrity problems remain is just asking for trouble.

5. So then you can vote in person. In the meantime who's watching the... |

...abusive spouse or abusive boss that bullies votes out of people under his or her control?

3. I'm tired of us using that as an excuse |

It's not like people in Wisconsin haven't heard about the Supreme Court elections so much, that campaign ads could change their minds. Their minds were made up already.
Sadly, I think what's happening is that people are growing tired of unions, and it's showing in the numbers. When John Doe looks at the high salaries and all the perks union workers get, while his job has been shipped to China, at some point he's bound to say, "Why should these people be treated any better than I am?"
I'm not anti-union...just saying, this is what people are seeing, all the good that unions have done for this country is a distant memory now.

6. Too bad those "tired of unions" will see even more money sucked from their local |

economies. I mean, it's not as if union workers don't purchase goods and services. Less money per worker equals less money circulating in the economy. It's that simple.
I, too, am frustrated that a fellow worker will tear another worker down out of some infantile envy. As the money flow slows, the end result will be the lowering of wages for all, public, union, and private workers, not to mention hardship for small businesses. Sucks for all but the stock holders of companies that have gone multinational.
Sucks.

4. We gave Dems the majority and they were silent on clean voting |

Tell ya anything? The silence was deafening to me and I'm surprised I didn't rag at them about it more.
Too late! Oopsie!! The people ARE easy to fool, and the elites know it.
