Donald Trump would be absolutely devastating for the United States |
|
What Donald Trump, Rick Scott, and other "corporate" rethugs fail to realize is that you cannot run government like a business.
Donald Trump's solution to high oil prices is to threaten to withhold US military support that don't agree to sell oil to us at set prices. Furthermore, he wants to slap tariffs on Chinese goods as a negotiating tool. He has already publicly called China an enemy - apparently tact has never been his strong suit.
The problem with running government like a business is that when your business plans fail, you can always declare bankruptcy and reorganize. Donald Trump should be very well aware of this, as he's benefited from this in the past. However, when your US economic policies fall flat on their face or backfire, who are the ones who pay the price? It's not like the United States can simply declare bankruptcy, say "oops, my bad" and start all over. No, the ones who wind up paying the price for these mistakes are all of us. In the form of higher inflation, unemployment, lower wages, higher taxes in the long run.
It's one thing for these corporate schmucks to run their own businesses into the ground. Quite another to run an entire state or country into the ground.

2. He has no chance and he really doesn't want the job |
|
This is just publicity for him, for his reality show. The Donald doesn't want to work that hard, plus the WH would be slumming for him.

I was in California when the Governator ran, and I watched the morons line up to vote for him. My husband actually voted for him too.

He can't release his financial information. He's just running his mouth off. Too bad he can't run his hair off.

He's a FAILED businessman with the gift of gab. And he's parlayed that image of "successful executive" into a personal fortune.
He's PERFECT for the RW. They LOVE fake heroes.
