The main reason the Tea Party has power is because they got their people elected.

However,the only reason they were able to get people elected was because of their huge corporate funding and the fact that the media gave them all the air time for free that they could ever have dreamed of having.

The point is that they have representation.

It is so hard to get representation for progressives because they are the enemy of the corporate rulers of our government.

We need to concentrate on getting OUR people elected.

we get Citizens united overturned with a amendment to the constitution.

3. Which the Supreme Court will then overturn as "unconstitutional"
until we can get a more balanced court. But that can be done I think.

4. The supreme court can not overturn a constitutional amendment
because it would become part of the Constitution therefor can not be unconstitutional.

10. unfortunately they weren't really our people. They were not
really on the left like the tea partiers are on the right. We got centrists elected. No real lefties ever get to the final race.

8. Disagree. They have power because of money and media, which helped...
get their people elected.

If they had lost, they'd still be covered wildly out of proportion to their numbers.

In just about every photo I see of a tea party gathering, there are more port-o-johns than there are actual teabaggers.
