Walker Blames Madison For Supreme Court Election
No Mr Walker it is your fault for pissing off the Badger. And Madison Liberals can get a bit pissed when you poke them with a sharp stick

Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) reacted Wednesday afternoon to the super-close state Supreme Court race -- in which liberal-backed challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg now leads incumbent conservative Justice David Prosser, thanks to popular reaction against Walker's anti-public employee union legislation. Walker's response: Blame it on Madison -- which he said is in a "very different world" from the majority of the state.

WisPolitics reports:

Gov. Scott Walker said this afternoon that the spring election results show there are "two very different worlds in this state."

"You've got a world driven by Madison, and a world driven by everybody else out across the majority of the rest of the state of Wisconsin," Walker said at a press conference in the Capitol.

"For those who believe it's a referendum, while it might have a statewide impact that we may lean one way or the other, it's largely driven by Madison, and to a lesser extent Milwaukee," he also added. "But those Senate recall elections on both the Democrat and Republican side aren't being held in Madison, they aren't being held in Milwaukee."

The state capital city of Madison, a liberal college town and Democratic stronghold, has been the site of massive protests against Walker for the past month and a half, often numbering in the tens of thousands.

Out of Kloppenburg's roughly 740,000 votes, about 133,000 came from Dane County, and another 128,000 from Milwaukee County. She now leads by just over 200 votes in the current count

6. One preson = one vote
Apparently doesn't mean anything to Walker, if your one person is from Madison or Milwaukee.

But we knew that from his "F--- Milwaukee" budget.

17. Meawhile, a$$hat Walker doesn't mention that Prosser's votes were "driven" by Waukesha Cty
which gave Prosser 81,255 votes. Why doesn't Walker say that there's a "world driven by Waukesha"?

Answer: Because Walker is a sociopathic weasel.

Then it's union thugs. Then it's Madison. Who will he blame next?

Edited on Wed Apr-06-11 04:07 PM by undeterred
because although you are hated far and wide, that is where you are hated most. But Madison couldn't have done it without the rest of the state.

And if you think yesteray was a show of strength, just wait until the recall elections.

29. Bullshit
If you remove Waukesha County, Washington County, and Ozaukee county (Republican strongholds) from the vote totals, Kloppenburg wins by almost 100,000 and gets 54% of the vote and we have no recount....close to a landslide.

Maybe undeterred's edit was made after you posted.

And to show you both are correct, go to Madison.com and scroll over the electoral map. K won a lot of counties in the west.

30. He is right.
There was a much higher turnout in Madison this time, with Dane County producing 12.3% of the votes, up from 10.2 last Fall.

The Dane Co. vote shifted from 68.0% Barrett to 73.3% Kloppenburger, rather like the rest of the state on Average.

Milwaukee is the outlier, shifting red by 5%.
