WI victories are incredible! Now Obama and the Democrats have the upper hand
and should be able to crush Republicans at the negotiating table, over the budget and debt ceiling.

We can breathe now: they'll get it done.

3. What did Obama have to do with it?
This was pure grassroots, shoe-leather, doorbell-ringing hard work by some very dedicated and determined democrats.

11. But the people have spoken! The Republicans are overreaching!
Now Obama and other elected Democrats have the upper hand and can smack them down.

8. I'm not sure if you were being ironic or not, but if not.........
I've got a bridge to sell you. :)

The national level Dems are still fighting the last war. They're still believing that they're ONLY choice for survival is to become DINOs. However, the Dem Party of Wisconsin has actually shown ALL of us the way of it. The WI Dems were FORCED to take the left economic populist stance AND IT'S WORKING! Eventually it'll filter up, but until it does we need to continue the fight.

I've come to the conclusion in my old age, that we're going to have to take the Dem Party back for progressives on a local basis using a left economic populist platform as the mainstay of the movement. I'm starting to do my part in my state. At the local level. Until it filters up, that's all we've got, but it will work.

12. It starts locally...
that's my take as well, and it's where I will focus my efforts. That's the reason I give when I unsubscribed from some of my political email lists.

9. Rec'd but didn't show. Don't care why some want Democrats to fail on the budget to prove a point.
I'll take whatever good news I can find.

The turning of the tide in the state of Wisconsin and nationally can sweep Washington, D.C. as well for those willing to do the work.

Union forever! Never give up!
