Scotty is in full-blown denial mode, claiming that Prosser lost because of those meddling kids in Madison:

"You've got a world driven by Madison, and a world driven by everybody else out across the majority of the rest of the state of Wisconsin."

Actually, Scotty, you've got about half the counties voting against Prosser to send a message to you. Glad to hear you still haven't gotten the message.

This election was a referendum on Walker ...... Prosser best Kloppenburg by 30 points in early Feb. but Scotty
has made the state toxic for republicans.


Significantly, 19 counties that went for Walker in the 2010 elections this time flipped and went for Oldenburg, including
LaCrosse (59 percent), Sauk (56 percent) and Dunn (56 percent). Huffington Post

Just eyeballing the map on JSonline-looks like about half of the state went for prosser-the half (geographically) went for Walker.

Gov. Scott Walker says the state Supreme Court race was not a referendum on him.

Walker said Wednesday the election that was too close to call was a choice about two different candidates with different backgrounds. Based on unofficial results previously unknown JoAnne Kloppenburg led incumbent David Prosser by a razor thin 206 votes.

Kloppenburg supporters tried to tie Prosser to Walker throughout the campaign against Prosser, who is a former Republican speaker of the Assembly.

Walker says for those who believe the election was a referendum, the votes against Prosser were largely focused in the Madison and Milwaukee areas. He says he's not worried that the election results are a bad sign for Republican state senators up for recalls
